Training session for junior IT professionals

Hong Kong still hires junior IT people — in commercial teams and on government T-contract (T26) projects. Many briefs say “fresh welcome” for analyst programmer, business analyst, IT support and production-support roles.

A T-contract is not a civil-service job. You work for a department through a licensed contractor. The work is usually full-time, with MPF and leave under the Employment Ordinance. It is a common first step into public-sector IT.

What helps a junior CV: a degree or diploma in computing or a related subject, one language you can show (Java, Python, SQL, or .NET), and a short project or internship. Put tools and months of practice in plain words. Do not invent government experience.

How to start:

  1. Browse IT jobs in Hong Kong and filter T openings if you want government work.
  2. Submit your CV.
  3. Read What is a T-Contract? if the bid language is new.

Seamatch screens for the department’s essential skills, then walks you through documents and the interview. If you are a 2025 or 2026 graduate looking for an IT job in Hong Kong, send your CV and we will tell you which live roles fit.
