Job nature:
(T26) Provide administration and support for Windows/Linux server support in Hong Kong Police Force

Responsibilities:
(T26) 1 Responsible for providing routine support to HKPF's desktop infrastructure including Windows and Linux servers and related hardware and software
2. Responsible for developing and maintaining script (e.g. Shell script, Python or similar) to automate system tasks, monitoring, and deployments
3. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issue in Linux environment
4. Collaborate with development teams or vendors to deploy, configure and support application in Linux servers
5. Monitor performance to reduce interruptions and server crashes;

Requirements:
1. Experience in supporting and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux Server
2. Experience in programming or scripting (e.g. Shell script, Python or similar)
3. Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (e.g. KVM, Docker)
4. Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
5. Experience in Microsoft Active Directory (AD), including AD re-structuring and object migration; is a plus
6. Security vetting is required.
