Job duties 

  • To participate in 2nd Tier technical support team for fault isolation and service

restoration;

  • To provide operation support on managed service platform/network infrastructure
  • surveillance, manage the fault clearance and evoke escalation to supervisor if
  • necessary;
  • To support the 7x24 operation team on alert monitoring, log analysis, remote diagnosis and restoration works on established Services;
  • To troubleshoot/analyze/resolve service or network problems, update progress to

customer regularly and confirm service recovery with customers upon restoration;

  • To render technical solution in helping customers to resolve issues and to ensure

end-to-end service is maintained;

  • To be responsible to change requests raised by customers, execute timely and

smoothly the change requests;

  • To coordinate with local carriers, vendors, internal/external parties, and service

partners for fault isolation and service restoration;

  • To carry out routine tasks as according to defined work procedure and schedule;
  • To handle other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • To fully understand the operation and update related document.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Tertiary education in Computer Studies/Engineering or related fields;
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Telecom/ISP/SI Industry;
  • Familiar with NOC operations with excellence customer handling skills;
  • Good understanding of the IT service management process is desirable;
  • Practical working experience in network monitoring tools and techniques is

preferable;

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is an advantage:
    • Operating systems, such as Unix/Linux and Windows platforms
    • Cisco routers/switches
    • Juniper and Cisco firewalls
    • Networking (LAN, WAN, PPPoE, NAT, IPsec & TCP/IP)
    • IP addressing and subnetting
    • Routing protocol (BGP4, OSPF)
  • CCNA certification is preferred;
  • Good team player with good problem solving skills;
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and under pressure;
  • Full of responsibility on operation duty;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good communication skill;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; proficiency in

Mandarin;
