Introduction
to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Seamatch
believes that Corporate social responsibility is a type of business
self-regulation with the aim of social accountability and making a positive
impact on society. CSR refers to the way in which our business regulates itself
in order to ensure that all of their activities positively affect society as a
whole.
Seamatch’s
business
Seamatch is one of the Hong Kong’s leading
professional recruitment consultancies, specializing in the placement of
candidates in permanent, contract and temporary positions with clients, mainly
from IT sector. Our target clients consist mainly of Government, semi-Government
organizations, public companies and the conglomerates.
Seamatch CSR
Commitments
Aligning with our missions and value, we list our
CSR commitments as follow:
• Staffs – We take seriously our responsibilities to
protect, support, and prepare our staffs for successful careers and
continuously provide career opportunities and resources to them. We also focus
on workplace safety, health and wellness, diversity and inclusion, and training
and development.
• Ethics – Seamatch is committed to doing the right
thing, conducting ourselves in a legal, ethical, and trustworthy manner,
upholding our regulatory obligations, and complying with our business policies.
• Communities – Seamatch understands that it takes
all of us working together to truly have an impact. As such, we partner with
organizations in the communities to improve lives and society as a whole – by
engaging in activities such as community service, philanthropy, and support for
small, minority, and disadvantaged businesses.
• Environment – Seamatch recognizes a shared
responsibility to protect our planet. Although our facilities and operations
have a small carbon footprint, we reduce the environmental impact of our
business through preservation, conservation, and waste reduction practices.

• Code of Business Conduct and Ethics – Seamatch’s
Code of Conduct provides mechanisms to prevent dishonest or unethical conduct,
and fosters a culture of honesty and accountability.
• We treat all employees with dignity and respect
and follow all applicable laws and legislation related to labour and human
rights. Below are examples of initiatives we have in place:
o Equal Employment Opportunity – It is the policy of Seamatch to protect
the employment rights of qualified applicants and employees regardless of an
individual’s race, colour, sex, age, religion, national origin, genetics,

service, align our values and goals with clients, to correct anything which go
off-track

Standards
We
always target to ensure that we use good suppliers and maintain a good working
relationship with them

try to use local suppliers so as to contribute to a better community

commit to pay all our suppliers on time

try our best to maintain a clear and proper communication with our suppliers

try to pick suppliers who are ethical and have a positive image·
Protecting the
Environment
We
commit to reduce the environment impact that our business activities may have.
· We
commit to monitor waste reduction, re-use and recycling.
· We
try to make sure that the types of materials used within our business, whether
they are recyclable or can be made from recycled material.
· We
try to maintain the water /electricity usage from growing unreasonably
· Encouraging
greener transport by picking a convenient office location, better usage of
courier services etc
Community
Engagement As
a business, we are committing to support local communities.

are awarded the “Caring Company” over each of the past 10 years by the HKCSS
(The Hong Kong Council of Social Service)·

are awarded the “Good MPF Employer” by the Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme
Authority for 2023, 2024
· We
received the “Certificate of Appreciation” by the HK Labour Department for our
support of the “Work Orientation and Placement Scheme”
· We
were awarded the “Good Employer Chapter 2024” by the HK Labour Department.
Measurement
We
had set the above goals and put CSR measures in place, we are also aiming to
regularly monitor and assess whether or not these measures are working. It’s an
ongoing process and we will improve this aspect going forward.
