Project Nature:

  • To provide IT system development, maintenance and support service

Job Description:

  • The candidate will be mainly responsible for:
    (a) performing in-house development with full system development life cycle (SDLC) and documentation;
    (b) providing on-going support such as troubleshooting and bug fixing for various systems and applications; and
    (c) carrying out other technical and administrative duties as specified by the management.

Requirements:

  • The candidate must hold a Degree/Higher diploma awarded by a university in Hong Kong or equivalent, or by an overseas education institution to a Hong Kong resident;
  • Candidates are required to have solid working experience in software development under the following platform and environment:
  • At least five (4) years of relevant post-qualification full-time IT working experience, of which two (2) years must be in a similar post and in a comparable capacity;
  • At least two (2) years of full-time hands-on experience in the development life cycle of Java-based systems (with frameworks such as Spring MVC adopted), including feasibility study, system analysis and design, procurement and installation, programming and implementation, system nursing and maintenance; and
  • At least two (2) years of full-time hands-on experience in application development and/or administration of one or more of the following relation database management systems: Oracle, MySQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Candidates should be customer-oriented and able to perform under pressure, willing to work after office hours and occasionally working on an on-call basis as required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experiences in the following technologies/ areas:
    • Full stack development (MEAN/ MERN)
    • RESTful API development
    • Python programming
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • NoSQL database
    • Containerisation such as podman, containerd, KubeSphere, Knative, etc.
    • Service mesh/ serverless architecture
    • Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline

Technical Skill Requirements:

  • Min 2 year experience in IT Application Development and Management, Java Application Framework (e.g. Struts (Apache)), JavaScript Programming, Java Servlet Programming
