Job description:
Data Management - Standardization & Quality Assurance
- Conduct a comprehensive inventory study of all existing database schemas and data dictionaries within the department.
- Analyze and document current data fields, their definitions, formats, relationships, and usage patterns.
- Identify inconsistencies, redundancies, and gaps in the current data landscape.
- Collaborate with database administrators, business analysts, and department stakeholders to clarify data meaning and business context.
- Develop and propose a standardized data taxonomy, naming conventions, and field definitions.
- Create and maintain documentation for the approved data standards.
- Assist in the development of data quality rules and governance policies based on the new standards; and
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
