System Analyst (BI) / Business Analyst (Fresh welcome)

Contribute to application development and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for large scale financial projects. He/she will be involved in the following areas:

Various system analysis, development and support tasks for the business intelligence applications
Perform technical analysis and system design
Prepare system documentation and user manual
• Other ad-hoc tasks or projects

Responsibilities:

To be responsible for system development, maintenance and user support
To carry out/assist to carry out user requirement studies, system analysis and design, program specifications and other system documentations
To coordinate with users for system testing, training and other relevant activities

Perform business and user requirement analysis for Banking System related system enhancements
Liaise among users and IT units to ensure business requirements are well defined and properly implemented
Formulate test plans, conduct UAT and regression test
Provide strong support to business users
Manage IT project implementation and monitor the project progress and resolve project problems
Participate in the production support for new product launch

Requirements: -

(a) A recognized degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent;

(b) Minimum 6 years of system development experience with at least 3 years in BI or data analytics development.

• Proficient and hands-on development experience using Microsoft Power BI, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS.

• Sound technical knowledge of following: - Strong experience in ETL processes and tools such as C#, .NET and SSIS

- Expertise in designing and developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions

- Proficiency in data modelling and dimensional data modelling concepts

- Familiar with data visualization best practice and principles

- Experience in creating and maintaining reports and dashboards using Power BI, DAX, SSRS and Microsoft Excel Power Query

- Oracle PL/SQL development and tuning

• Good English and Chinese communication skills (both written and verbal).

University degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Minimum 1 year’s solid experience in web application development
Experience in Java and / or .NET / Python and SQL
Knowledge in programming with web-application framework (e.g. Spring, Struts), Ajax, Vaadin, Node.js, AngularJS, ReactJS is an advantage
Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design techniques
Good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese
Good analytical and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

Degree holder or above in Business Studies, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines
Experience in Banking are highly preferred
Familiar with system development life cycle, data flow and UAT process
Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and problem solving skills
Self-motivated, willing to work in competent, challenging and team-work environment
Good command in both written and spoken Chinese and English, knowledge of the Mandarin is a plus.
