Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect (up to 70K)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Support Specialist with hands-on expertise in Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud) or AWS services. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and operational assistance for cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for services running on AliCloud, including ECS, OSS, RDS, VPC, SLB, Function Compute, and more.

  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and respond to incidents, alerts, and service degradation issues.

  • Assist in provisioning, configuration, and optimization of cloud resources on Alibaba Cloud.

  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure best practices in cloud architecture and deployment.

  • Handle incident management, root cause analysis, and service restoration.

  • Maintain and update documentation related to system configurations, standard procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Work with Alibaba Cloud technical support and account managers to resolve advanced infrastructure issues.

  • Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) in the cloud environment.

  • Assist in cloud cost optimization and resource management.

  • Stay up to date with new features and services from Alibaba Cloud and recommend improvements.




Cloud Security Engineer

Scope of Work:

This engagement is focused on strengthening the security posture of Customer’s Hong Kong (HK) operations. The vendor will work closely with the Customer HK team and provide direct support to ensure security needs are addressed efficiently and effectively.

Primary Point of Contact (POC)

● Act as the main point of contact for all Customer HK security-related requests.

● Coordinate with internal Customer security stakeholders to address issues and ensure smooth communication.

Vulnerability & CVE Research

● Conduct ongoing research on relevant CVEs impacting Customer HK systems and applications.

● Provide timely mitigation guidance, including recommended patches, configuration changes, or compensating controls.

● Test patches in lower environments (e.g., Dev and Sandbox) before deployment.

● Create and share production-ready commands/scripts for validation in the production environment.

Cloud & Application Security Expertise

● Provide expert support in AWS cloud security best practices.

● Support Customer HK’s application security program through secure design reviews, threat modeling, and code-level security guidance.

Penetration Testing & Validation

● Perform penetration testing of HK applications as requested by the Customer HK security team.

● Validate security fixes and provide re-test reports to confirm closure of identified issues.

Compliance Support

● Assist the Customer HK team in meeting basic compliance requirements (e.g., documentation, evidence gathering, control validation).

● Provide advisory support on aligning with applicable regional regulatory standards.
