Job nature:
(T26) Provides ongoing application support of existing systems such as Digital Resources Management and Hong Kong Memory Portal (HKMP) Provides assistance for the implementation of Smart Library System

Responsibilities:
(T26)
(i) assisting the system analyst to monitor the project progress and providing regular update to management; (ii) coordinating with internal users, contractors for system and application support; (iii) conducting various types of application and system tests; (iv) coordinating and assisting users in carryout user acceptance test
(v) reviewing the deliverables of outsourcing contractors; (vi) arranging project related services / equipment acquisition; (vii) providing technical advice to user sections and management; (viii) processing technical endorsement for any IT request; (ix) providing regular update to senior and management
(x) providing ad hoc support during non-office hour; and (xi) carrying out other duties assigned by senior officers.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in information technology from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent; Solid experience in system development, application programming and maintenance of web-based application on UNIX platform; Experience in working with outsourced contractors for system development or maintenance; Experience with managing the performance and deliverables of outsourcing vendors will be an advantage; Experience in support or maintenance of workstations will be an advantage; Good command of spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin will be an advantage; and Good communication and problem solving skills will be an advantage.
