Senior Systems Analyst

Responsibilities:
(T26) 1. To ensure high availability and stability for infrastructures of GCIS Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS, aka e-Government Infrastructure Services (EGIS)); 2. To provide technical support and quality management for GCIS System Integration Team and GCIS Operation & Support Team 3. To facilitate patch management of various products in use for GCIS PaaS application hosting 4. To provide technical advices and support to the setup of the next generation GCIS PaaS 5. To assist project manager in monitoring work performance and conduct quality assurance of project deliverables from outsourced contractors 6. To carry out other project related duties as designated by project manager

Requirements:
Candidate 1. shall possess solid experience in supporting large-scale IT infrastructure (over 1,000 virtual servers) with dual-active production sites for hosting e-services adopting Java EE application infrastructure on Linux and Windows systems 2. shall possess sound technical experience in supporting 3-tier hosting infrastructure (web, application, database tiers) 3. shall have experience in supporting GCIS PaaS (aka EGIS) 4. shall have experience in supporting Storage Area Network 5. shall have experience in supporting virtualization software including VMware 6 or above 6. shall have experience in supporting Operation Control Centre for large-scale infrastructure 7. shall have experience in security incident detection and handling 8. shall have experience in conducting quality assurance on project deliverables 9. shall be hard-working and self-motivate with positive attitude 10. shall have strong sense of analytical and problem solving skills 11. shall be a team-player with good communication and interpersonal skills 12. may be required to work outside normal working hours for ad-hoc firefighting 13. may be required to work in data centres in Sai Kung, Tsuen Wan and Cheung Sha Wan occasionally 14. is required to conduct criminal record checking
