Systems Analyst

Responsibilities:
(T26) The proposed staff shall take a leading role for providing support to the implementation of change requests, system enhancement and maintenance activities of iCRMS and IT Infrastructure. Job duties include but not limited to: (a) Follow up the outstanding add-on programme and system issues; (b) Assist in collecting requirements from users on any change or system enhancement requests; (c) Work with the contractor maintenance team and users on the change or enhancement requests, in particular on system design, testing, UAT, user training and rollout; (d) Follow up the reported application issues or problems from users, work with the contractor for the corresponding rectification or system refinement; (e) Participate in the evaluation of IT products for the application of appropriate IT technologies / solutions, and to develop technical specifications for the related IT procurements; (f) Perform quality assurance on the application programs including mobile applications for various mobile initiatives, ensuring compliance with the government IT policies, standards, methodologies and best practices; (g) Provide support for the daily operation the iCRMS application; (h) Provide technical support for the replacement and migration of databases, specifically transitioning from relational databases (e.g. Oracle) to distributed database solutions (e.g. OceanBase), ensuring data integrity and system availability during the transition; and (i) Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
(a) The proposed staff must have working experience in:- (i) Application development and system maintenance; (ii) Vendor management; (iii) Working experience in Government; (iv) IT standards and methodologies on system development and maintenance life cycle; (b) Good communication skills, customer service skills, coordination skills and liaison skills; (c) Good command of Chinese and English; (d) Self-motivated, independent, diligent, polite, pro-active, fast learning and good team player; (e) Working at remote correctional facilities for provision of support services as and when required; and (f) Undergoing integrity check by HKPF is required.
