Responsibilities:
(T26) The successful candidate will be assigned to our new court building development project, where they will play a crucial role in designing the user experience and interface for courtroom AV/IT systems. Their duties will involve: - UI/UX Design: Designing intuitive, user-centric web interfaces and device control panels for complex AV/IT systems. - Interface Prototyping: Creating wireframes and proof-of-concept prototypes to visualize system workflows and user journeys. - Control System Design: Designing the logic and layout for AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, or proprietary solutions) to ensure ease of use for non-technical staff. - AI Integration for Productivity: Leveraging AI tools to streamline design workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance overall project productivity. - Interface Integration: Collaborating on the deployment of mobile and desktop applications used to control and monitor AV systems. - System Evaluation: Evaluating AV/IT products from a usability perspective to ensure they meet the operational needs of the court. - Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as a liaison between technical teams and end-users; gathering requirements and presenting design concepts to ensure the systems meet judicial needs.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design, specifically for control systems or professional hardware interfaces. Familiarity with AV/IT ecosystems is highly preferred, including a general understanding of video distribution, digital sound processors (e.g., Biamp, QSC), and networked audio systems. The candidate should be proficient in modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch) and be open to using AI-driven productivity tools to improve project delivery. While deep programming expertise is not required, a basic understanding of how web interfaces interact with back-end systems is beneficial. The candidate should possess good communication and interpersonal skills and a solid command of English. As the role involves interacting with judges and judicial officers, the ability to communicate requirements clearly and professionally is important. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are also essential.
