Responsibilities:
(T26) (a) To participate in all phases of the SatRef and associated IT projects, including developing new programs, enhancing and maintaining existing ones, conducting rigorous testing (program, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)), and preparing job control procedures for trial and production runs; (b) To enhance and maintain the RINEX (Receiver Independent Exchange Format) generation program; (c) To participate in the development of the SatRef Dashboard using Grafana to effectively monitor various system components; (d) To maintain and enhance the existing web-based coordinate transformation tool and the Coordinate Transformation API service; (e) To prepare and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including data and API specifications, to support future system enhancements and bug fixes; and (f) To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:
The candidates should: (a) hold a Hong Kong degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification; (b) have at least 6 years of experience in the field of Information Technology, of which at least 4 years must be in a role similar to the present post; (c) possess at least 5 years of hands-on experience in web and software development in a Windows environment, utilizing C#.NET/VB.NET, ASP.NET Core / .NET 5 (or above), Entity Framework Core (EF Core), HTML, XML, and JavaScript; (d) have at least 5 years of experience creating RESTful APIs and developing API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI (OAS) in YAML format, including at least 3 years of experience designing and writing API test cases; (e) be proficient in database management (MS-SQL Server or PostgreSQL), with strong skills in SQL query writing, performance tuning, execution plan analysis, and index optimization; (f) have hands-on experience designing and delivering queue-based background processing systems from scratch, including defining message contracts/routing and implementing scalable competing-consumers worker models; (g) have at least 3 years of experience using Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) for analysis and Grafana for development; and (h) possess experience processing RINEX data to support application development.
