Senior IT Assistant

Responsibilities:
(T26) (a) To support the development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of various IT systems, databases, and applications for the SatRef; (b) To support daily operations, monitoring, and other IT-related work for the SatRef; (c) To upgrade the IT infrastructure and system networks for various IT systems within the Geodetic Survey Section; (d) To arrange housekeeping tasks for security control, system updates, data backups, and website management for various IT systems; (e) To monitor the condition and environment of the server room and data center, and to assist in system administration, enhancement, testing, and IT security; (f) To support the monitoring and supervision of system analysis, design, implementation, and integration, and to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for newly developed systems and applications; and (g) To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:
The candidates should: (a) hold a diploma or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification; (b) have at least 6 years of experience in the field of Information Technology, of which at least 5 years must be in a role similar to the present post; (c) possess strong experience in managing and administering IT infrastructure, including Windows Servers (2008/2012/2016/2019/2022), Hyper-V Manager, Hitachi SAN, NAS, and Veeam Backup; (d) be proficient in network, security, and monitoring configurations, including Cisco networking devices, 4G routers, firewalls, VPN connections, and Paessler PRTG software; and (e) possess experience in website administration, programming, database management, and GNSS data manipulation.
