Systems Analyst

Responsibilities:
(T26) The requested staff will be assigned to the project team to provide implementation of system enhancements and system support of SMARTICS-2 application and related system interfaces with other departments. He/she is required to provide technical support, co-ordinate and advise the technical matters of the following activities: (a) Procurement, system implementation and application deployment on system enhancements, configuration and tuning, testing, acceptance and maintenance; (b) Production support on application system and system enhancements, including the enhancement of core application supporting the new self-service kiosk and the related system interfaces; (c) Conduct technical study service on alternative solutions for technology refreshment of SMARTICS-2; (c) Monitoring and examination of contractors&;#8217; work and deliverables; (d) Devise and review various system and operating procedures; (e) System monitoring and tuning, problem diagnosis and resolution, disaster recovery and security control; (f) Evaluation of the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions in resolving problems; (g) Production maintenance and support matters; and (h) Round-the-clock on-call technical support.

Requirements:
- Criminal record check is required. - Good experience in system implementation and system support of IT application system and management of outsourcing contractors. - Work experience and knowledge in mission critical web application system and relational database is required. - Normally work in ImmD HQ at Tseung Kwan O and occasionally provide support at various Immigration offices and control points and other designated locations.
