Systems Analyst

Responsibilities:
(T26) The requested staff will be assigned to provide technical support and maintenance of server infrastructure, storage infrastructure, network, system management and backup infrastructure for SMARTICS-2 application and related system interfaces in data centres, Immigration Headquarters (HQs), Registration of Persons (ROP) offices, other Immigration branch offices and control points. Tasks includes: (a) Providing coordination, system support and installation, configuration, testing, production rollout, acceptance and maintenance; (b) Providing technical advice and system support for the operations of HQs for SMARTICS-2; (c) Providing maintenance support on infrastructure for SMARTICS-2; (d) Monitoring and examination of contractor's work and deliverables; (e) Devising and reviewing various system and operating procedures; (f) System monitoring and tuning, problem diagnosis and resolution, system housekeeping and security control; (g) Evaluation of the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions in resolving technical problems; (h) Production maintenance and support matters; (i) Round-the-clock on-call technical support; and (j) Any other duties as may be required.

Requirements:
- Criminal record check is required. - Solid experience in system implementation of IT infrastructure supporting mission critical system and management of outsourcing contractors. - Profound knowledge in network routers and switches, firewalls and load balancers, storage area network, Unix server, Windows server and VMware is a must. - Normally work in ImmD HQ at Tseung Kwan O and occasionally provide support at various Immigration offices and contr ol points and other designated locations.
