(T26) Provide IT Infrastructure Support for the Department of Health and Centre for Health Protection, maintaining and enhancing existing systems, . Responsibilities include technical support for infrastructure systems, creating and updating technical documentation, and collaborating on projects for government departments.

Responsibilities:
(T26) 1.To manage and support the central IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware ESXi, Nutanix HCI, Huawei FusionCompute) 2.To implement and maintain central management platforms (e.g., ManageEngine, Adaxes) for efficient AD Domain operation and administration 3.To provide comprehensive support for central infrastructure systems, covering patch management, endpoint security, log analysis, and system monitoring 4.To execute routine maintenance tasks, including server backups, data protection, and housekeeping jobs for security control and job accounting 5.To operate and maintain departmental server rooms across multiple locations, ensuring proper systems and environmental monitoring 6.To take part in all phases of computer projects, including analysis, design, specification, procurement, installation, implementation, and system nursing 7.To manage Government contractors and ensure that all project deliverables strictly comply with the department's requirements and standards 8.To prepare technical documentation, project reports, and evaluations for new IT procurement and hardware/software maintenance renewals 9.To coordinate system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs 10.To maintain strict security compliance within the central IT infrastructure of the Department of Health 11.To devise system standards and maintain operation procedures in line with established government regulations 12.To monitor system usage and recommend controls for the efficient allocation of computer resources 13.To coordinate central infrastructure support for IT colleagues located in various DH premises (e.g., Offices, Clinics, Maternal and Child Health Centres) 14.To provide advice to management regarding central infrastructure strategies and resource planning 15.To monitor the performance of subordinates and provide supervision on daily operations 16.To plan and coordinate infrastructure maintenance work, including system patching, to be performed after office hours. 17.To act as a major contact point and provide emergency support outside office hours when required 18.To maintain accurate inventory records and prepare necessary system documentation 19.To perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
20. May be required to work outside office hours including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays as and when required Normal working hour: Mon 9:00 - 18:00, Tue - Fri 9:00 - 17:45

Requirements:
- At least four
(4) years' post-qualification information technology experience of which at least two
(2) year must be in a similar post and in a comparable capacity - At least four
(4) years' work experience with/in the Government - Solid experience in operation of Windows server / SQL server and AD domain controllers (with around 1,000 user / computer objects) - Familiar in IT monitoring systems (e.g. SolarWinds / ManageEngine), troubleshooting and systems backup operation - Experience in supporting IT infrastructure with multiple remotes sites - Experience in multiple server rooms operation - Experience in multiple projects implementation support and coordination of multiple Government contractors - Experience in Windows desktop systems and LAN troubleshooting - Experience in handling enquiries from non-technical users / parties - Experience in Microsoft PowerShell programming is preferred - Experience in application deployment on the Windows platform using scripts - Experience in leading a technical group with 1-2 people is preferred - Able to meet tight deadlines and maintain high quality of work
