(T26) Database Administration, System Maintenance and User Support

Responsibilities:
(T26) Normal working hours: Mon 9:00 - 18:00, Tue to Fri 9:00 - 17:45
1. Perform maintenance support works of several production systems, which covers, - sites located at Lam Tin and Kwai Chung, and hosting on Government Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS); - approx. 100 production servers; - approx. 2,000 end users; and - approx. 150 remote client sites.
2. Prepare technical specifications, plan and supervise the procurement, deployment, upgrading and migration of IT equipment
3. Manage and support the routine operation of server room facilities
4. Enhance, maintain and support the following technologies: Oracle RAC, Oracle Database tuning, Microsoft SQL Server, RedHat Linux, JBoss Application Server, SAN, etc.
5. Assist in user support, project management and vendor management
6. Perform on-site support works in locations including clinic and Public Mortuary
7. Provide system support and on-call standby outside normal working hours when required and subject to business needs; and
8. Any other tasks assigned by his / her supervisor.

Requirements:
1. Strong team player and capable to work under pressure independently and proactively
2. Strong problem solving and analytical skills
3. Good interpersonal skills, coordination and communication skills; and
4. Proficient in VMware virtualization is an advantage.
