Senior Systems Analyst

Responsibilities:

1. To ensure high availability and stability for infrastructures of GCIS Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS, aka EGIS)
2. To facilitate the implementation and integration of cloud management platform
3. To provide technical support and quality management for GCIS System Integration Team and GCIS Operation Team
4. To facilitate patch management of various products in use for GCIS PaaS application hosting
5. To provide technical advices and support to the setup of the GCIS PaaS
6. To assist project manager in monitoring work performance and conduct quality assurance of project deliverables from outsourced contractors
7. To support the ongoing upgrades and enhancements of GCIS infrastructure
8. To support technical studies and proof-of-concept exercises for adoption of new technologies in GCIS
9. To carry out other project related duties as designated by project manager

Requirements:
Candidate
1. shall possess solid experience in operation management of large-scale IT infrastructure (over 1,000 virtual servers) with dual-active production sites for hosting e-services adopting Java EE application infrastructure on Linux systems and Windows systems
2. shall possess sound technical experience in supporting 3-tier hosting infrastructure (web, application, database tiers)
3. shall have experience in supporting e-Government Infrastructure Services (EGIS)
4. shall have experience in supporting Storage Area Network
5. shall have experience in supporting virtualization software including VMware 7 or above
6. shall have experience in security incident detection and handling
7. shall possess experience in conducting user acceptance tests
8. shall possess experience in conducting quality assurance on project deliverables
9. shall have strong sense of analytical and problem solving skills
10. shall be hard-working and self-motivate with positive attitude
11. shall be a team-player with good communication and interpersonal skills
12. may be required to work outside normal working hours for ad-hoc trouble-shooting
13. may be required to work in data centres in Sai Kung, Tsuen Wan and Cheung Sha Wan occasionally Criminal record verification by the Hong Kong Police Force is required
