(T26) IT Infrastructure support for office automation, application systems and websites of Chinese Medicine Regulatory Office (CMRO) of Department of Health.
Responsibilities:
(T26)
(a) Prepare work assignment briefs, conduct assessments and engage contractors for procurement of network and server hardware, OA equipment and IT services such as maintenance & support of systems, software upgrade, PIA and SRAA etc.
(b) Coordinate the engaged contractors with different HITO IT Teams and/or user parties to perform relevant work and task assignments in agreed timeframe
(c) Review and comment the deliverables from engaged contractors
(d) Supervise and monitor contractors in system maintenance, enhancement and improvement works
(e) Coordinate project and support activities with stakeholders, vendors, contractors and other project teams
(f) Monitor and ensure smooth operation of IT systems
(g) Provide routine operational and application support for IT systems
(h) Maintain system documentation of IT systems
(i) Study, evaluate and propose upgrade, improvement and maintenance options for IT systems and services
(j) Perform preventive maintenance actions and arrangement including contract renewal and stock management
(k) Perform vendor and contractor management and liaison
(l) Perform technical study for new IT initiatives when necessary; and
(m) Any other duties assigned by supervisors. Normal working hours : (Mon: 09:00 - 18:00, Tue - Fri: 09:00 - 17:45)
Requirements:
(a) Solid experience in network and server management, monitoring, server virtualization technology, and Windows and Linux system administration
(b) Solid experience in preparing quotation invitation materials, with strong familiarity with procurement guidelines and a proven track record of acquiring services through SOA-QPS, GITP, and DPA
(c) Solid experience in applications development and maintenance using Java, SQL, shell scripts, and JavaScript
(d) Solid experience in implementing and maintaining government electronic forms with digital signing and PDF content integration, as well as compiling statistical reports for status updates
(e) Solid experience in managing websites hosted on the WCH platform, with proficiency in SFTP operations, PHP scripting, and the ability to operate MySQL or MariaDB via CLI mode
(f) Experience in operating patch management and deployment software to deliver remote support and perform software upgrades, ensuring system stability and security
(g) Experience in managing data pattern enquiry requests and ad-hoc content queries against website content under the WCH environment, including handling user-customized content exports
(h) In-depth knowledge and experience in preparing content for web publishing in compliance with Government IT standards such as W3C WCAG
(i) Self-motivated, independent, diligent, polite, patient, pro-active, fast-learning, and a strong team player
(j) Ability to complete job assignments independently with minimum supervision while meeting project objectives and deadlines
(k) Site preparation experience is preferable; and
(l) Proven experience in supervising and managing subordinates.
