Senior Systems Analyst

Job nature:
(T26) This position will actively participate in the enhance, maintenance and support of the existing DH clinical computer systems.

Responsibilities:
(T26)
(a) Liaise with various departments/IT support teams for the development of IT systems and system interfaces
(b) Assist in monitoring the contractor's system maintenance activities and performance
(c) Liaise with users, IT teams & contractors to prepare integration requirements and provide technical advices to users for service integration
(d) Review the deliverables of the contractors and vendors
(e) Provide IT advice on governing the system's conformance to departmental and government IT policies/standards
(f) Prepare technical specification, plan and supervise the procurement, deployment and upgrading of IT equipment and systems
(g) Provide administrative support on the documentation for IT projects
(h) Monitor budget spending and report to project stakeholders; and
(i) Any other task assigned by DH.

Requirements:
(a) Degree holder or above in Computer Science or equivalent
(b) Familiar with government IT standards and methodologies such as SSADM and PRINCE, and have an experience in working with or in the HKSAR government departments/bureaux
(c) Experience in the relational database model and familiar with mainstream database engines such as Oracle is an advantage
(d) Prior experience in clinical management system is preferable
(e) Proficiency in English written and communication skills
(f) Strong analytical and problem solving skills; and
(g) Follow prevailing infection control measures as required by the government
