Analyst Programmer

Responsibilities:
(T26) - To design, analyze, implement and maintain web and 3D GIS applications; - To conduct unit testing, system integration testing and support user acceptance test; - To implement application enhancements and bug fixing; - To conduct quality check, verification and correction of data and applications; - To prepare and maintain program documents (e.g. data and function specifications, etc.) to support system enhancement and bug fixing; - To assist in preparation of project reports and specifications; and - To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:
- Holder of a degree awarded by a university in Hong Kong or a degree awarded by an overseas education institution to a Hong Kong resident, or equivalent; - The degree shall be related to Computer Science, Information Engineering, Information Technology, Geo-informatics, Geomatics Engineering, Geographic Information Science, or equivalent; - Have at least 3 years post qualification information technology experience of which 1 year in the comparable capacity; - At least 3 years hands-on programming experience in application development / system maintenance; - Solid knowledge and experience in system architecture design, implementing and development of web/mobile applications; - Should display practical experience in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue.js (including Vuex/Pinia and Vue Router), HTML5, and responsive CSS; - Hands-on experience in building scalable services using Node.js (Express, NestJS, or similar); familiarity with Java and Spring Framework is a strong plus; - Hands-on experience in 3D web map development and mobile development using CesiumJS or ArcGIS Maps SDK is an advantage; - Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation, practical experience writing and optimizing SQL queries; - Possess analytical sense, problem solving skills and a good team player; and - Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English. Preference may be given to candidates who have: - Knowledge in AI/ML and real-time data analytic; - Experience in using Unreal Engine, or other game engine; - Experience in iOS/ Huawei /Android/ HarmonyOS development;
