Job nature:
(T26) This position will actively participate in implementing IT infrastructure-related projects of PHLSB and FPS. Besides, this position will maintain and support the existing Laboratory Information Systems (LISs) of PHLSB and other IT systems.

Responsibilities:
(T26)
1. Design IT infrastructure, including network, servers, and server room facilities for PHLSB and FPS
2. Ensure IT infrastructure that can sustain the Disaster Recovery strategy and method
3. Participate in the infrastructure procurement process, including tender preparation and proposal assessment
4. Manage vendor implementation of new IT infrastructure
5. Implement new security measures to align with OGCIO's requirements
6. Maintain and support new and existing LIS infrastructure
7. Maintain documentation and procedures and ensure they are aligned with government standards
8. Provide IT support to end users
9. Manage maintenance contracts with hardware vendors
10. Liaise and coordinate with external parties to design the external interface of LIS
11. Coordinate for and conduct system testing and training; and
12. Any other tasks assigned by the Department of Health. Normal working hours: Mon - Fri: 9:00 - 17:48 Alt Sat: 9:00 - 13:00

Requirements:
1. Solid experience in developing and supporting LIS such as STARLIMS, ECPATH, GE Ultra, or other medical systems
2. Experience with the government procurement process is an asset
3. Strong project management sense
4. Experience in managing Windows, Unix and Linux environments
5. Experience in vendor management
6. Familiar with Government security requirements
7. Knowledge of conventional email systems
8. Fluent in English and Chinese communication
9. Self-motivated, work independently and under pressure; and
10. Knowledge in HL7, LOINC and SNOMED.
