Job nature:
(T26) This position will actively participate in implementing and enhancing Forensic Pathology Service (FPS)-related systems. Besides, the position will maintain and support the existing Public Mortuary Information System (PMIS) and other FPS IT systems.

Responsibilities:
(T26)
1. To manage a team in the provision of daily system support services for the PMIS
2. To provide IT advice to FPS on governing the system's conformance to departmental and government IT policies / standards
3. To assist FPS in preparing funding application documents for newly raised IT projects
4. To supervise an IT sub-team in collecting user requirements & provide resources estimation for systems enhancements
5. To monitor recurrent budget spending and report to project stakeholders
6. To plan and provide requirement specifications for project procurements
7. To monitor all phases of the project implementation, including procurement, systems analysis and design, development, testing, system nursing and maintenance
8. To carry out quality control and quality assurance, and project management duties; and
9. To assist FPS in procuring stores and services for IT-related items. Normal working hours: Mon - Fri: 9:00 - 17:48

Requirements:
1. Familiar with government IT standards and methodologies such as SSADM, and have experience in working with or in the HKSAR government departments/bureaux
2. Experience in system design, analysis, and implementation of enterprise-wide Java-based systems
3. At least 2 years experience in the development, implementation, or maintenance of a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology system
4. Experience in Mortuary Related Information Systems
5. Experience in the relational database model and familiarity with mainstream database engines such as Oracle and MS SQL Server
6. Proficiency in written English and communication skills
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and
8. Responsible, independent and able to work under pressure
