Responsibilities:
(T26) The main duties of the Contract Programmer are: (1) To develop, edit and publish engaging digital media contents, including high-quality artwork, infographic designs, photographs, images, and animations for various college events and training programmes; (2) To conceive, film, edit and produce compelling audios and videos, combined with motion graphics, visual and auditory elements for educational and promotional purposes; (3) To design, and create interactive training materials, videos, presentations and quizzes with H5P packages for enriching e-learning resources; (4) To design graphics, illustrations, banners and visual resources for the departmental website to enhance the College&;#8217;s online presence; (5) To brainstorm and develop creative ideas, and be able to conceptualize and transform ideas into visual images, graphics design and innovative videos; (6) To render professional support to training units for delivering live training programmes and special events, including video shooting, lighting setup, live-streaming, live broadcasts and webinars to ensure high-quality production; (7) To provide post-production including video editing, audio editing, subtitling, motion graphic and other production-related duties; (8) To explore advanced and emerging multimedia learning technologies, develop compelling visuals and digital content with AI tools for continuous improvement of digital content quality and innovation; (9) To promote wider use of multimedia learning technology and audio-visual equipment for interactive training, and provide training to users on use of equipment for creation of digital content; (10) To provide in-door and out-door IT support to large-scale training events. Transport, setup and operate audio-visual and computing equipment (including tripods, digital cameras, lightings, notebook computers and cables). Conduct live-streaming and webinar hosting, photo and video shooting, audio recording, computer cabling and network setup; and (11) To conduct software testing for web programs and ensure compliance with user requirements and standards.
Requirements:
(1) Higher diploma holder or above majoring in Design, Graphics, Creative Media, Information Technology or relevant disciplines from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical college / technical institute, or equivalent; (2) At least 2 years of post-qualification information technology experience of which at least 1 year must be in a similar post and in a comparable capacity; (3) At least 4 years of post-qualification experience in digital content production field, including artwork, infographic designs, photographs, images, audios and/or videos; (4) At least 3 years of working experience in photo and video production with motion graphic for corporate promotion, product promotion and/or e-learning delivery. Familiar with photo, video and audio shooting using prevailing digital cameras, digital video recorders and the lighting setup; (5) At least 3 years of working experience in photo and video editing using industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud (essentially Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Illustrator) on Windows or Mac platforms; (6) At least 1 year of working experience in creating digital content for e-learning platform and websites in the past three years counting from the application closing date; (7) At least 3 years of relevant working experience with/in the Government, quasi-government bodies or public service sector; (8) At least 4 years of full-time working experience of large event technical support in video conferencing and webinar hosting technology, such as Zoom and VOOV; (9) Good interpersonal skills and a team player with good communication skills in Chinese and English; and (10) Creative and innovative with aesthetic sense.
