Job nature:
(T26) a. Development and maintenance of web-based/mobile applications and information system, provision of server maintenance and application implementation; b. Provision of ongoing maintenance of databases
c. Coordination of training activities and provision of IT support to departmental staff and school users; and
d. Design and maintenance of webpages.
Responsibilities:
(T26) a. To assist in performing web-based/ mobile application design, development, implementation and enhancement, and software quality assurance; b. To design and maintain webpages, and work on video editing and graphics design
c. To deliver convenient tools of data management for officers of the Education Bureau (EDB); streamline the workflow and daily operations, and handle ad hoc requests as required
d. To provide ongoing maintenance on existing systems, servers and databases; e. To assist in developing, implementing and maintaining systems for managing school data; f. To assist in performing IT procurement for the EDB and evaluation of software and hardware products; g. To assist in organising face-to-face and online training programmes, co-operate with other teams and provide technical support to school users and departmental staff of the EDB; and h. To leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools to improve work efficiency, enhance data analysis and support decision-making to meet the departmental operational needs.
Requirements:
a. Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent; b. At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in application development and maintenance, of which a minimum of 2 years in web-based/ mobile application development and maintenance
c. Good knowledge and programming skills in the latest web technologies, such as ASP, PHP, Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS are required
d. Good knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PC hardware & software support is required; Experience in developing VBA macro tools is preferred; e. Good knowledge of databases, including Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL, is preferred; f. Experience in Photoshop and video editing is an advantage; and g. Good knowledge in using AI tools to automate tasks, analyse data or streamline workflows is preferred.
