Job nature:
(T26)
(a) To formulate, implement, monitor and review the respective policies pertaining to the training and continuing professional development (CPD) of teachers and principals, including Certification for Principalship (CFP), Principals' CPD Framework, Teachers' CPD Framework, Teacher Competencies Framework and implementation of the Professional Ladder for Teachers
(b) To develop, launch, monitor and evaluate the leadership training programmes on the knowledge and skills required of principals, vice principals, middle leaders and teachers
(c) To provide professional and secretariat support to the Committee on Certification for Principalship to advise the EDB on matters relating to CFP and to monitor the standard of CFP
(d) To provide professional and secretariat support to the Committee on Professional Development of Teachers and Principals (COTAP)
(e) To provide support for overseeing the housekeeping of the EdUHK
(f) To advise on the allocation of teacher education places

Responsibilities:
(T26) - To maintain Section's databases and develop in-house database applications, such as ancillary course admission application, KPI dashboard - To assist in developing/purchasing information systems/applications - To create web content and maintain the thematic websites - To provide support in media production - To coordinate data transformation with IT departments - To conduct different surveys and data analysis - To provide technical support to the Section - To perform duties as required by the seniors

Requirements:
(a) A bachelor's degree awarded by a post-secondary institution in Hong Kong, or a bachelor's degree awarded by an overseas university or a polytechnic in the UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand or Australia1; or - an accredited associate degree or a higher diploma in information technology from a Hong Kong or overseas tertiary education institute or - an accredited associate degree or a higher diploma from a Hong Kong or overseas tertiary education institute in subjects other than information technology and - at least five
(5) years' relevant post-qualification experience in the computing field
(b) At least five
(5) years' post-qualification information technology experience of which at least one
(1) year must be in a similar post in a comparable capacity
(c) Familiar programming skills in technologies, knowledge management, collaborative tools, using programming languages and various support/ development tools/ environments such as JAVA, J2EE, WEBSPHERE, HTML5, XML, C#, CRE, DAR, NATUR, SQL, VISUAL BASIC, ORACLE tools, WEB SERVICES, .NET, OSS, APACHE or TOMCAT and operating systems/platforms such as WINDOWS, UNIX, LINUX, MVS, VMWARE or NETWARE
(d) Familiar with EDB system (TCS, EdIS etc.) is preferred
(e) Working at designated locations in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories is required 1 For the degrees awarded by overseas universities or polytechnics in countries other than the UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand or Australia, they will not be considered as meeting the essential requirement unless upon requested by the Government, which the Government is not obliged to make, the Contractor can provide supplementary information as requested by the Government to prove to its satisfaction that the degrees awarded meet the level of a Bachelor degree under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework.
