Job nature:
(T26) To provide IT services including technical support and advisory, quality assurance and system administration and maintenance for the implementation of DSD Building Information Modelling (BIM) System with ad-hoc support duties for existing IT systems in BIM Support Team (BST).

Responsibilities:
(T26) System Analyst is mainly deployed to perform the following duties:
1. to provide administrative support in managing inventory and overseeing the maintenance of BIM software and related hardware
2. to prepare funding applications and tender documents for system enhancements and IT systems independently
3. to oversee the operation and maintenance of BIM-related IT systems and upkeep of design / as-built BIM models
4. to manage the upgrading works of the Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) system and implementation of SCADA replicator system
5. to coordinate and promote in using CAVE, BIM authoring software, 3D printer, 3D scanner, point cloud viewer, Scan to BIM conversion and Virtual Reality (VR) applications
6. to liaise and work with business users, IT teams, contractors and stakeholders, including other bureau / departments to complete duties effectively
7. to support user-acceptance testing and deliver training for all relevant IT systems
8. to coach and supervise IT Assistants in BST to ensure the completion of tasks, and the quality of their deliverables; and
9. to perform any other duties assigned by senior officers.

Requirements:
System Analyst must have
1. holder of a Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines
2. have attained Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent; (N.B.: Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE is accepted administratively as comparable to Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.)
3. at least seven years' work experience in IT projects for the Government of HKSAR / NGO, include at least one year' experience on BIM and GIS integration projects
4. at least five years' experience in IT service procurement, contract monitoring, user management, quality assurance, IT security audit, and management of multiple IT projects
5. proficient in managing IT development projects and managing / overseeing day-to-day operations of web-based systems
6. proficient in documenting user and functional requirements in English; and
7. experiences on Building Information Modelling (BIM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), SCADA, 3D printing and CAVE are preferred.
