(T26) Outsourcing, development, implementation and support of application systems for promoting Construction, Digital, administrating multiple Building Information Modelling (BIM) related hardware, software and BIM Common Data Common Platform (CDCP) and preparing tender documents and managing delivery of an OpenBIM Handover Gateway (OHG) and an AI-powered BIM model validation tool for BIM Support Team.
Responsibilities:
(T26) Analyst Programmer is mainly deployed to perform the following duties:
1. to provide administrative support in managing inventory and overseeing the maintenance of BIM software and related hardware
2. to prepare funding applications and tender documents for BIM system enhancements and related IT systems
3. to oversee the operation and maintenance of BIM-related IT systems and upkeep, convert and upload of design / as-built BIM models to CDCP and Smart Drainage Map
4. to coordinate and promote in using Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) system, BIM authoring software, 3D printer, 3D scanner, point cloud viewer, Scan to BIM conversion and Virtual Reality (VR) applications
5. To coach and supervise the vendor for implementing the AI-powered BIM model validation tool to ensure the completion of tasks, and the quality of their deliverables
6. To work with stakeholders to define business requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria for OHG project its API with existing CDCP and automatic openBIM model conversion for BIM model submission.
7. Prepare functional and non-functional requirements, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria for inclusion in tender documents for OHG project.
8. to liaise and work with business users, IT teams, contractors and stakeholders, including other bureau / departments to complete duties effectively
9. Support user acceptance test and provide user training on IT systems; and
10. To perform any other duties assigned by senior officers.
Requirements:
Analyst Programmer must have
1. holder of a Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines
2. at least four years of experience in web application development and the management of multiple IT projects
3. proficient in managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of web-based systems
4. proficient in documenting user requirements and functional specifications in English
5. fluent in spoken English and Putonghua
6. work experience with/in the Government is an advantage.
7. hand-on experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM), agentic AI and integrating LLM or other AI models into IT systems is an advantage.
