(T26) Application of Agentic AI Frameworks on Post-processed Weather Forecast Products

Responsibilities:
(T26) The CSA will be responsible for:
1. designing the software system, modules and data processing workflow for applying agentic AI frameworks on forecast products including model post-processed output data from intern systems such as the the Automatic Weather Forecast (AWF), the Extended Forecast System (XFS) and various tropical cyclone guidance products
2. collaborating with HKO staff to integrate various weather forecast products into agentic AI frameworks
3. designing and developing web-based applications to visualise the information processed by the agentic AI agents
4. verifying the outputs generated by the AI agents and conducting reliability tests on the software system
5. preparing documentations, maintaining the version control system for software modules, and conducting handover with training to HKO staff.

Requirements:
1. Proficient knowledge and experience in IT system design using various programming languages, database and operating system environments including Linux.
2. Knowledge and experience in development and application of artificial intelligence / machine learning algorithms using Python.
3. Solid experience in software application developments using Javascript, Python, HTML5, HTML, Java (J2SE), web programming frameworks and database (MySQL / PostgreSQL / SQL).
4. Knowledge and experience in development of web-based visualization using GIS libraries.
5. Experience in Git and GitLab for software development and version control.
6. Experience in conducting training activities on IT knowledge to co-workers.
7. Experience in working with HKO is preferred. Applicant should also refer to the Technical Requirements (mandatory and optional) for fulfilling job duties. A criminal record check will be required and the offer is subject to the results of the criminal record check.
