Job nature:
(T26) To provide IT advice and support on the implementation of the Automated Transportation On-board Clearance System (&;#8220;AUTOS&;#8221;) and system enhancement of Immigration Control System (&;#8220;ICONS&;#8221;)

Responsibilities:
(T26)
(a) To provide IT advice and support on the database design and configuration for the system implementation of AUTOS and ICONS
(b) To provide IT advice on the database tuning, SQL optimization, system performance enhancement of AUTOS and ICONS
(c) To supervise and provide technical advice on the System Integration Tests (SITs) and User Acceptance Tests (UATs) of system enhancement
(d) To perform diagnosis with the contractors on technical issues and monitor the progress of remedy actions
(e) To review project deliverables and monitor the performance of the contractors of AUTOS and ICONS; and
(f) To perform other duties required for meeting the department's business need.

Requirements:
- Solid experience in implementation and administration of database system for mission critical systems - Solid experience in database performance tuning and SQL query tuning - Good Knowledge in SQL and IBM Db2 administration - The Contract Staff is required to take up on-call duty - The Contract Staff will normally work at the ImmD offices in Tseung Kwan O, and occasionally provide support at various Immigration control points and offices - The Contract Staff will have to work outside normal office hours occasionally to meet the operational needs - Criminal record check is required
