Job nature:
(T26) To maintain the application architecture including but not limited to web, application and database systems, provide technical support services and maintain IT applications in the HongkongPost with very high availability and reliability and good performance.

Responsibilities:
(T26) The job duties requirements of the service are as follows:- a) To implement, maintain and support the application platforms, including but not limited to, web, application and database systems; b) To maintain application and data availability, monitor performance and security configuration of IT systems
c) To conduct system implementation, testing, troubleshooting and on-going support with application team for new or maintenance projects
d) To perform regular web, application and database software patching and software updates; e) To execute the Disaster Recovery (DR) drill of each critical applications; and f) To assist stakeholders, vendors and contractors on project activities; and g) To perform any other assigned tasks.

Requirements:
The support staff is required to: a) Solid knowledge and good technical skill on application servers (including Tomcat, JBoss and Oracle WebLogic) and database software (including Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server and etc) is mandatory; b) Good communication and skills, both written and verbal, in Chinese or English, preference given to those good at both
c) Need to work in various location of HKP
d) Overtime and on-call work are required when necessary; and e) Criminal record check is required.
